October 27, 2020, 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Virtual Program - registration info below
In this comprehensive overview of self or independent publishing, independently-published author Valerie Biel will discuss why you might want to self-publish (based on your goals) along with an honest look at the pros and cons. She’ll also cover how to best assess what you’re capable of learning/doing on your own and when you’ll want to hire a professional to assist you. Then she’ll dive into the details of the lingo of the publishing world, business basics you need to consider, book readiness and formatting, categories and keywords, plus options for both print, e-book, and audio distribution. There’ll be time to ask questions!
