[ARCHIVED] HWY 73 Closure & Limited Parking from 7 PM to 11PM, Dec. 9 for Holiday Train

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will visit Columbus, WI on Friday, Dec. 9, at 9:00 p.m. It is a light show on rails and carries a surprise. One of the boxcars folds out into a stage, complete with lights, speakers and great music!

In order to keep the Holiday Train area as safe as possible and with set policies, the City of Columbus and event organizers are closing parts of Highway 73 (Ludington St.) and limit parking on side streets in the area.

There will be “No Parking” signs on one side of Church St. from Dickason Blvd. to Water St. In addition, signs will be posted on both sides of Ludington St. from Church St. to Middleton St. If you need handicap parking, you will meet with a safety officer posted at either side of the street closings to get access.

In addition to limited parking in the area, Highway 73 from Church St. to Middleton St. will be closed to all traffic from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Due to the restrictions and the amount of people in the area, drivers are advised to pay close attention.

Arriving in Columbus? In order to have room for everybody, attendees can park in any of the public lots in downtown Columbus. Other lots include Meister Park, Mullin’s Short Stop and Rotary Park. Or you can park behind City Hall. There is parking on Dickason Blvd. and the lot just east of Tea Time Wine Bar & Bakery.
