In efforts to keep the Holiday Parade route area as safe as possible and in accordance with set policies, the City of Columbus and its event organizers have obtained the necessary permits to legally close the parade route and intersections of all cross streets in the area. Motorists and residents are not permitted to move barricades once set in place. Motorists are not permitted to move barricades and / or enter the restricted parade route area with any motorized vehicle. Citations may be given to motorists that illegally and unsafely enter the restricted parade route area.
Expected road closure and No Parking restrictions will include Dickason Blvd. from Fuller St. to Mill St. and will be posted with No Parking signs on both sides of the street. The signs will be posted by 5:00 PM on December 2nd, the day prior to the event. All vehicles must be removed from Dickason Blvd. by 3:00 PM on December 3rd, the day of the event as Columbus Police Department will begin enforcing the No Parking restrictions.
Local residents on North and South Dickason Blvd. will not have access to their driveway during the parade. Affected residents must move their vehicles to the nearest accessible side street.
No deliveries will be permitted beyond the start of the No Parking restrictions beginning at 3:00 PM on December 3rd.
Postal mailboxes at the corner of W. Harrison St. and S. Dickason Blvd. will not be accessible by vehicles after the barricades are set in place. Residents and Postal workers are not permitted to move barricades at Dickason Blvd. to access the Post Office or its mailboxes. Residents may park on the closest side street and access the Post Office and postal mailboxes on the boulevard by foot. Postal workers must access the Post Office from the east (W. Harrison St. and Ludington St.)
Please report any violations or suspicious vehicles in the area or in the parade route. Our goal is to keep everyone safe.
Happy Holidays.
