[ARCHIVED] Fuller Street to Close Beginning Monday, September 12, 2022

Beginning Monday, September 12, 2022, Fuller Street will be closed to motorists in order to replace the culvert. This project will impact pedestrians and motor vehicle traffic on Fuller Street and in the area. This work will especially effect parent/guardian drop off and pick up of students that use Fuller Street. Pending favorable weather and construction conditions, the project is estimated to be completed on Friday, October 21, 2022.

During the project, Fuller Street will be completely closed to motorists and pedestrian traffic in order for the contractor to lay the new pipe. Vehicle and bus traffic should not detour using School Street as the narrow width of that street would make it unsafe.

In addressing potential safety concerns, there will be temporary no parking in the following areas:

  • Fuller Street from S. Dickason Boulevard to Ludington St (Park Avenue).
  • S. Dickason Boulevard. from Fuller Street. going north, mid-block to Richmond Street.
  • School Street from Ludington Street (Park Avenue) to S. Dickason Boulevard (both sides) from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

The contractor will reopen Fuller Street as soon as pipe is installed, however the area will remain no parking until project is complete.

A detailed timeline and map of the recommended detour is available on the City website by clicking the additional info link.
