STH 89 Reconstruction Project

[ARCHIVED] STH 89 Project Public Information Meeting

There will be a public informational meeting regarding the STH 89 reconstruction project scheduled for Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Columbus Senior Center, located at 125 N. Dickason Blvd.  The meeting will introduce prime contractor, James Peterson Sons, Inc. and WI State DOT representative(s) with a brief discussion of the construction schedule by the contractor and conclude with a public question and answer session.

Residents directly impacted by the project have received a mailing with a notice of this informational meeting by the Columbus Public Works Department.  Motorists can expect to encounter a full road closure to through traffic.  The work zone will remain open to local residences and businesses.

The project is scheduled to begin April 11, 2022 with work to include the area of WIS 89 between Avalon Road and Park Avenue.  Work includes roadway construction to remove and replace underground utilities and install new asphalt roadway with curb and gutter and sidewalk.  Construction is currently scheduled for completion in August, 2022 and is based on favorable weather conditions and construction status.
