[ARCHIVED] 2016 Street Project - September 1st Update

Here is your weekly update on the 2016 Street Project, for September 1st:

A Note – information on the upcoming activities with the project are subject to change due to weather or other factors that unexpectedly arise. This report is to give you a sense of what is planned for the near future for each part of the project, as adjustments sometime need to be made to address emergencies or for efficiency reasons.

Mill Street – Birdsey CONCRETE WORK: Phase “1” concrete properties on Mill Street (between N. Lewis & Main) and Birdsey Street have been given the green light to use their driveways as the concrete is sufficiently strong. Phase “2” concrete work was the focus this week (properties between Main St and N. Ludington), but some driveway aprons and sidewalks have yet to be installed. Property owners and residents along these areas should be seeing topsoil and focus on the terraces where the concrete sidewalks, curb & gutter and aprons have been put in (phase 1).

Landscaping/Restoration: This remains an area of focus for all of the affected Streets and since landscape crews will be returning to focus on new areas of Mill, Birdsey, etc, they will be in town to address the previous issues raised.

As always, all schedules and work plans are dependent on the weather conditions.
