[ARCHIVED] City's Emergency Order Has Been Amended By Mayor Arnold

March 3, 2022 - Mayor Mary Arnold has signed an amendment to the Resolution 18-21 Emergency Order.

The amendments to resolution are:

  1. Required Face coverings are temporarily suspended; recommended, but not required.
  2. Required Weekly testing or proof of vaccination is temporarily suspended.
  3. The use of Zoom to hold public meetings may be continued.
  4. The Declaration of Emergency will still remain in effect.

Prior the amendment, face coverings were required in all City-owned facilities.  City staff, elected officials and volunteers were required to show proof of vaccination status to the City Clerk or undergo weekly testing for COVID-19.  Public meetings such as Council and Committee of the Whole were not held in-person at City Hall with limited staff present.

At the March 1, 2022 Committee of the Whole meeting, the general consensus of the members of the Committee was for the requirements to be relaxed or temporarily suspended.  On March 2, 2022, the Mayor made the order to temporarily suspend these requirements until the next Council meeting on March 15, 2022.
