The City of Columbus has contracted Fahrner Asphalt Sealers to perform road work maintenance in the areas shown below to better preserve the asphalt. The work that will be done is Slurry Seal Resurfacing.
The Slurry Seal Resurfacing will tentatively begin on Ridgeview Lane on Monday, September 14 and is scheduled to be complete by the end of the day, weather permitting.
Once the slurry is applied, there is a 2-3-hour cure time to ensure performance and integrity of the product. This requires that there be no traffic during or immediately after application (vehicle, by foot, bicycle, etc.) in these areas until notified or postings have been taking down. As production and weather play a major factor in scheduling / completion of roads, Fahrner Asphalt will have the road temporary closed while applying the Slurry Seal. Once the Slurry Seal has cured and is ready for traffic, we will remove the “Road Closed” signs and cones. At that point you will have access to the road. There will be “No Parking” signs posted on all affected areas for the entire project until it is completed.
We ask that everyone comply with all postings; either “No Parking” or “Road Closed” signs an effort to complete this project smoothly and effectively. We apologize for any inconvenience, but appreciate your cooperation!
