[ARCHIVED] Columbus Arbor Day Festival Canceled

The City of Columbus Annual Arbor Day Festival and E-Cycling event has been canceled to abide with our Governors orders not to congregate during the COVID-19 outbreak.

As we are all doing our best to protect our community from the spread of Covid-19 by abiding by the Safer-At-Home Order and practicing social distancing, we do want to mention that if you are outside for a leisurely walk or bike ride, please take a minute to admire all the beautiful trees in our neighborhoods and parks here in Columbus.  Arbor Day is a worldwide tree-planting holiday that has been celebrated in Wisconsin since 1883. Though the holiday is observed on different dates according to planting conditions and local custom, Wisconsin’s official Arbor Day is the last Friday in April.

With the E-Cycling being part of our annual Arbor Day Festival, we do want to remind City residents that we will have four TV and appliance drop off days at our Landscape Recycling Center, located at N3642 River Road, this season.  With a pre-paid $30 sticker, available as soon as the Public Works Office and City Hall are open to the public, you can bring your TVs and appliances to the Landscape Recycling Center on the Saturdays of; May 16 (to be determined yet), July 18, September 19, and November 21.
