The Columbus Library was an approved absentee voting site for the 2020 Spring Election, but because the Library is closed indefinitely for the protection of patrons and staff alike, in-person/absentee voting locations have changed. City Hall will be the only location for the 2020 Spring Election and will have extended hours to accommodate as many people as possible.
ABSENTEE/EARLY VOTING:
Absentee/Early Voting continues in the City Hall Council Chambers during regular office hours, through April 2 & Friday, April 3 until 5:00 pm. Evening hours are available Tuesday & Thursday until 8:00 pm through April 2. Electors must be a registered voter to request and receive an absentee ballot. Valid Photo ID is required to receive a ballot.
VOTER REGISTRATION:
Currently registration is available at the clerk’s office during regular office hours, through April 2 & Friday, April 3 until 5:00 pm. Evening hours are available Tuesday & Thursday until 8:00 pm through April 2. Electors must provide valid proof of residence to register to vote. Mailed applications cannot be accepted and will not be processed. Voter Registration is also now available online at myvote.wi.gov until midnight March 30.
ELECTION DAY, APRIL 7
The polls will be open on Tuesday, April 7 for the Spring Election. Hours are 7:00 am – 8:00 pm.
However, electors are urged to register and early vote prior to Election Day as lines will be long, and we may be short-staffed due to COVID-19.
