The City of Columbus will be finalizing plans for street and utility reconstruction for Hibbard Street in the City of Columbus. The locations include:
Reconstruction
- Hibbard Street – from Dix Street to Maple
- Turner Street – from Hibbard Street to Maple Avenue (Storm sewer Extension only)
Hibbard Street will include replacement of sanitary sewer, manholes and sanitary sewer laterals within the right of way. Storm Sewer will include new storm sewer, inlets and storm sewer manholes to improve drainage. Water main, valves, hydrants and water services will be replaced within the right of way. The project will also include a full street reconstruction which will include new curb and gutter, new driveway aprons and new sidewalk.
Turner Street will include installation of new storm sewer, inlets, and storm sewer manholes to improve drainage and extend to Hibbard Street.
The City and staff will be conducting the final of three public informational meetings to allow residents to review and get clarification on the proposed project. This meeting will give an update of the project and show the proposed work locations and will also focus on bidding and construction phase of the project. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday January 9th at the senior center at 6:30 p.m. and will include a project presentation followed by a period for questions.
