CITY OF COLUMBUS – EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER
Update: March 15, 2019, 8:25 pm
The City of Columbus is managing high water levels causing flooding in several spots in the City.
The bridge at Hwy 16 & 60 is closed due to high water.
Residents who live on Campbell Street and River Road are strongly urged to evacuate as the Crawfish River is expected to continue to rise over the next couple of days. Failure to evacuate will make it difficult for emergency response to reach you in an emergency.
The City is continuing sandbagging operations at the Old Countryside Ford building at 1149 W. James Street. Anyone willing to assist are welcome to arrive up until 7 pm today, 10 am-1 pm Saturday and 9 am-11 am Sunday.
Residents with questions about flooding or the current situation are directed to call the Columbus Police Department non-emergency line at 920-623-5919.
