[ARCHIVED] Crews Continue to Clear Snow

In light of today's heavy snow storm, DPW Crews are continuing to address streets in town to keep on top of city sidewalks in higher traffic areas as the snow continues to fall.  With the snow expected to come to an end early this afternoon, the plan is to clean things up the best we can today.  Due to the length of time the crew has been plowing since starting snow removal operations in the early morning hours last evening, the snow stored in piles around town will remain for now.  It is important to consider the fatigue factor for our crew so rest is going to come into play as well.  The snow piles will be addressed very early tomorrow morning, and the focus will also be to ensure that streets and sidewalks are clear for tomorrow morning's activities.
