The incumbent for Aldermatic District 1 Office did not timely file a Notification of Noncandidacy by the statutory deadline of December 21, 2018 and did not file the proper paperwork for access to the ballot by January 2, 2019. Per Wis. Stat. § 8.10(2)(a), the deadline for filing ballot access documents is extended for 72 hours for the office of Aldermatic District 1 Office. Any qualified electors may file a CF-1 Campaign Registration Statement, EL-162 Declaration of Candidacy and nomination papers containing at least 20 signatures of qualified electors of the City of Columbus with the City Clerk of the City of Columbus no later than close of business on Monday, January 7, 2019. However, no signature of an elector on a nomination paper may be dated after Saturday, January 5th.
