[ARCHIVED] Dog Licensing - Where & When?

Licensing your dog or dogs is a great thing to do!  If there's a dog tag on your beloved pet's collar and they wonder away we can get them back to you.  Plus State of Wisconsin laws require all dogs to be licensed in the community in which they live.  Reminder:  Only three animals allowed in any one home by ordinance of the City.

WHEN?  This is done on an annual basis and is renewed between mid-December and March 31st of each year.  State law requires that your dog or dogs be licensed by April 1st.  There are some exceptions - if you have a puppy for instance.  Call us and we can tell you what to do there.  The license year is January 1st to December 31st of that year.

WHERE?  City Hall between 8 and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Fees are:  $10 for spayed or neutered dogs and $15 if they are not.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?  You'll need your dog's rabies information - that is a requirement for licensing your dog.  The information should have the rabies vaccine manufacturer's name, serial number of the shot, date shot was given and when it expires.

Once we've got your pet in the program we will have your name, address and phone number so all it will take in future years is to bring in the rabies information and fee. We can get you all set up with that information.

As always, any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
