On May 18, the fire department received a gift of a 2009 Chevy Silverado from Enbridge Energy.  It has a crew cab and is 4-wheel drive.  When fully equipped, it will replace a 2001 Chevy Suburban as a command vehicle.  Enbridge has approximately 10 miles of pipeline running through our fire district.  The company is very generous to our department by providing cash grants for projects and by providing training in addition to the very large donation of this vehicle.  With this gift, funds that would have been used for replacing the 2001 Suburban can now be used toward the purchase of other firefighting apparatus.
