[ARCHIVED] HELP WANTED: Business Liaison Intern/Public Relations Assistant (Deadline extended)

Come join us!  The City of Columbus is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to assist with public relations for the upcoming James Street reconstruction project running through the community.  

The Business Liaison/Public Relations Assistant position is a part-time (could possibly work as an internship for college credit) position that is responsible for performing a wide variety of promotional, marketing and communication-type duties for the City of Columbus.  The successful candidate will be the point person for the conveying of information related to the 2017 James Street Road Reconstruction. 

Desired minimum qualifications:  At least 2 years post-secondary education.  Experience in operating Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and familiarity with webpage development and operation.

Highly qualified candidates will be pursuing post-secondary education or have experience working in communication, public relations, marketing or journalism.  Experience with desired social media campaigns. 

Pay range for the position is up to $12 per hour, depending upon qualifications.  A total of 400 hours are allotted for the position and the work schedule can be determined with the successful candidate.
