Dog Licenses
All dogs 5 months or older are required to be licensed as per Section No. 14-61(a) of the City Code.
Dog Licenses
Please provide the following
- Name, address, phone number, email address, dog(s) name(s)
- Rabies Certificate for each dog
- Cash or check made payable to the City of Columbus
(SEPARATE CHECK IS REQUIRED)
- $10 per dog / spayed or neutered
- $15 per dog / unaltered

Requirements for License
Evidence must be presented in the form of a current rabies vaccination certificate and for a neutered or spayed dog.
Code
Owners who fail to obtain a license prior to April 1st of each year are subject to an additional fee of $5. This is required by Section Number 14-61(j) of the City Code.
Section Number 14-62(a) requires all owners to have dogs vaccinated against rabies. A current rabies vaccination certificate is required. Dogs must be vaccinated within 30 days after the dog reaches four months of age.
Kennel License
Kennel licenses are not available in the City of Columbus.
