Garbage/Recycling

The City of Columbus utilizes a vendor, Badger Disposal, for weekly trash and curbside recycling pick-up for residential properties of 4 or less units. Solid waste can be placed on the tree border as early as dusk the night before scheduled pickup. Solid waste must be placed in approved containers. Recyclables will be picked up by separate vehicles on the same day as regular trash is picked up. Recyclables can be co-mingled in a recyclable bag or in a container of 35 gallons or less.

Large items such as furniture and appliances or any item not covered under the city’s solid waste program can be picked up with special arrangements by Badger Disposal at the number listed below. These items cannot be deposited in the tree border unless special disposal arrangements have been made in advance. Violators will be subject to ticket and fine.

If you have any questions regarding the curbside pick-up programs please call:
