Senior Center

The Columbus Area Senior Center opened in 1979. The Columbus Area Senior Center offers and promotes activities and services that enhance the quality of life for our senior community. It is a multi-purpose facility that serves the diverse needs of area seniors, 50 and older, by providing educational activities, information, resources, programming, advocacy, health services and agency referrals. The Senior Center encourages participation and strives to create a sense of well being for all users.

June Highlights at The Center

NEW!! Please see our new Rider Board located at the Center. You can leave your name, telephone number, date, time and destination on the board. If drivers are available, they will contact you to work out any details.

Kid's Fun Day!! Kids and adults pet parade!! Please watch for further details!!

Outdoor Story Time with the Library - every Friday in June, beginning June 9th at 10:00 a.m., in the grassy area at the Community Center.  Stop by, hear the stories, visit with the kids and enjoy the beautiful summer weather!

Butterfly Garden Opens June 6 - join the children from the library's Summer Reading Program to learn about butterflies and plant our butterfly garden.

ADRC Farmer's Market vouchers will be available June 7th from 1 - 2:30 at the Center.

Father's Day Treats June 15 - Please join us as we celebrate the special men in our lives with treats from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.


The Senior Center provides a monthly newsletter for its citizens. 

Facility Rental

The large main room at the senior center is available to rent for meetings and gatherings.  Please call the senior center for rental information.
