Senior Center

The Columbus Area Senior Center opened in 1979. The Columbus Area Senior Center offers and promotes activities and services that enhance the quality of life for our senior community. It is a multi-purpose facility that serves the diverse needs of area seniors, 50 and older, by providing educational activities, information, resources, programming, advocacy, health services and agency referrals. The Senior Center encourages participation and strives to create a sense of well being for all users.

April Highlights at The Center

NEW!! Please see our new Rider Board located at the Center. You can leave your name, telephone number, date, time and destination on the board. If drivers are available, they will contact you to work out any details.

May Day Bubble Fest
May 1st at 11 am. Come join us in blowing bubbles to celebrate May Day with our young friends from Red Bud Daycare.

Run for the RosesMay 3rd at 11 am. In celebration of the Kentucky Derby, we will be having a hat parade (with prizes awarded), tea with derby treats and a horse race (.50 to enter, 100% payout).

Mother’s Day Tea/Cookie Recipe Exchange: May 10th at 11 am. Bring your mom, wife, sister, or any other female friend to the Center to celebrate “mom” with tea and cookies.  Please bring cookies to share, along with the cookie recipe to exchange.

May Pedal Days: The Center will be partnering with St. Jerome’s on Tuesday, May 16.  Pedal to St. Jerome’s to have your passport stamped, join in a few outdoor activities and have a treat. Rain or shine, we look forward to seeing you!

National Senior Fitness DayMay 31, 9 am—1 pm. Visit with local health and senior organizations, enjoy demos,  freebies, door prizes 
and more!


The Senior Center provides a monthly newsletter for its citizens. 

Facility Rental

The large main room at the senior center is available to rent for meetings and gatherings.  Please call the senior center for rental information.
